As an author I have a number of book subjects I like to plan for future book releases. With one of my hobbies being Ham Radio which has included a level of emergency preparedness and being what I like to call a “Hurricane Prepper”, I have had a heavy focus on Ham Radio. I also enjoy camping and have enjoyed trips out in my Travel Trailer to remote state lands that allow me to park and enjoy nature off the grid, relying on portable power, water and and solar energy. With these hobbies that I enjoy I have written now over ten books focusing on various aspects that relate to what I enjoy.
There are always more topics and more ideas to write about. Currently I have additional projects which I continue to work towards which will be the subjects of new books scheduled for release during the second half of 2022 and into 2023. Among these projects are the following:
CB Radio for Emergency Planners and Preppers
This book will be released in the later part of Summer 2022 focusing on the use of CB Radio for emergency and distance communications. Though CB has several disadvantages when compared to Ham radio including portability, super long distance, and hand-held friendly radio solutions utilizing repeaters for distance communication, and low-power restrictions to 12-watts and under, it is still a form of HF Radio offering distance communications of 20 miles or more as direct radio, and even range capabilities of hundreds of miles utilizing radio skip characteristics allowing it to be a viable tool during an emergency. License free communications, and relatively inexpensive, CB radio can offer a good emergency communications tool when used with the right types and models of radios and a good tuned antenna. In this upcoming book we will walk the reader through selecting and using radios from manufacturers such as Galaxy, President and Uniden as well as antenna selection and even building your own antennas for portable and emergency use.
Florida Boondocking and RV Camping
Based on our already existing website FloridaBoondocker.com, this book will be a book-format release expanding on the topics of our website including Camping off-grid as well as in popular park locations across Florida. We will be working through topics such as Camper-Truck pairing issues, portable power for off-grid camping, solar power, batteries, and reviewing multiple free camping locations across Florida. Our book release target will be Fall of 2022.
Full-Time Tiny-House and RV Living on your own Property
This is an exciting topic for me as I look to move to full-time RV Camping in 2023 in Florida and developing my own property. We will look at topics including Zoning, Restrictions, Off-Grid solutions, and even developing a mini-RV park for income. Our book release target will be late 2022/early 2023 for this book project.
Biddle’s Ham Radio Study Guide – General Class 2023-2027
This will be a follow-on to our Technician Class Guide for 2022-2026 covering the new General Class question pool which is released in early 2023. Our book release target will be first half of 2023.
